Gearing Up For Puzzles and Pokeballs

Yeaaaah!!

I've had this in my sketchbook for nearly two weeks now.
And with two new games coming out soon, what better way to celebrate both with a crossover?

First off, in just Five Days (October 7th,) Pokemon versions Black 2 and White 2 will be released in America. I'm so excited! *Clicks Pokeball* I haven't done a lot of research, mainly to avoid spoilers.

Second off, on October 28th, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will be released in America. I've been looking foward to it for quite a while and even secured myself a 3DS so I can purchase it. In my mind, this is also a small celebration for Layton's 5th year anniversary (In America,) alongside his fifth game.

So, to kick it off, I did the obvious. Layton characters as pokemon.

Everyone seems to see Layton as a Furret, including me. It suits him well, in my opinion. It was either that or a serperior, but I see Serperior as being more of a king rather than a true gentleman. I'd never forget Hershel's top hat and coat, but as an added measure, I reversed the color pattern of his stripes.

Then there's Luke. He was a bit trickier for me, although I eventually settled with Piplup; it's a rather proud pokemon, as Luke is of his self-proclaimed title, and not to mention, a bit of a clutz. Piplup's color suits well with Luke's outfit of choice, too.

Flora was definately the hardest...I had I hard time deciding between pokemon like Roselia, Snivy, and even Shaymin's Sky Form. I nearly settled on the latter, when it hit me; Deerling. It's variety of colors and design, as well as it's type, seemed suitable just enough for Flora. I used that little ribbon she wears around her dress as a scarf, and her color is a more darker red than an autumn deerlings.
